Where Have I Been?

It seems as though I have not been paying much attention to my web site lately.  There are two reasons for that; one is that I have had little interest in painting the past year or more, and two, not many people look at my web site anyway.

But this spring when I returned from a long winter in the RV, I was determined to get back to painting.  I had the house to myself as Mark was still biking in Moab and Fruita so I could spread out and make as big a mess as I wanted.

I scoured the internet for inspiration and found some.  Painting was fun again and I enjoyed trying new techniques and colors.  Here are the results:

Potosi Peak
8x8 matted and framed to 12x12, $110
Potosi Peak is a very recognizable mountain 13786' in elevation situated in the San Juan Mountains near Ouray and close to Mount Sneffles
SOLD

Lost In The San Juans
8x8 matted and framed to 12x12  $110
This was so fun to paint.  I loved playing with the blocks of color and using ink to outline them.
SOLD

Ice Lake Basin
6x12 matted and framed to 10x16, $169
I went a little nuts with this painting, especially the sky.

Twin Sisters and Rolling Mountain
6x12 matted and framed to 10x16, $169
This is quite a contrast from the Ice Lake painting.
I love the soft colors.  These peaks are close to Silverton and this view of them is from a high plateau above Red Mountain Pass.
